LUNAR SPELLS play a 90's influenced style of melodic black metal. I always appreciate this wild melodic approach which is still rooted in the underground and not overproduced. The demonic vocals are harsh, distorted and echoing, the guitars cut the soul with sharp riffs, the drums rumble like an orc horde most of the time and the synthetic organs add some atmosphere. Sometimes mid-tempo passages bring a bit variation in the fast paced performance. Somehow simple, but effective and classic!

Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended.
